September 2022 Studio Sale

Please join me in celebrating two spring related things this week!

Firstly, my art studio will be open for a studio sale this week as I am needing to make space for new work I am busy on in preparation for my next solo exhibition.

Please join me for a cup of coffee and a perusal of all of my currently available works at 72 Palmyra Road, Newlands:

I have original framed and unframed paintings and drawings for sale, including many previously unexhibited works, post card sized plein-air studies, as well as a wide selection of demo paintings.

If you live further afield, you will be able to view the works in my online catalogue which will be available before doors open on 1 September for pre-sales.

Secondly, most Dutch Golden Age flower painters planted flowers they wanted to paint. In a similar vein this year, I found some tulip bulbs and I was especially pleased to find the types of bulbs I am interested in portraying from bud to fully open. I love the broken or flamed tulips and variegated ones particularly. My first tulip, Leen van der Mark, has flowered today!
